Chickpea Risoni Indian Biryani

  • 1 Box Explore Cuisine Chickpea Risoni (cooked and rinsed )
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ garam masala
  • 1 ½ turmeric
  • 2/3 cup yogurt
  • salt
  • almonds, toasted and chopped
  • golden raisins and currants
  • fried shallot
  • cilantro, chopped
  1. Cook Risoni according to instructions on the box
  2. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add spices. Cook for one minute, stirring.
  3. Add orzo and toss to coat with the spice mixture, fold in yogurt and add salt to taste.
  4. Add almonds, fruit, shallot, and cilantro.

Cooking Tip: Rinse under cold water after draining to stop the cooking.
